One name that is synonymous with 'diva' is undoubtedly Sushmita Sen. From the way she flips her hair to the way she giggles, Sush has gone on to become an icon for today's generation. Said to have a strong motherly instinct, Sushmita adopted Renee in 2000 and Alisah in 2010. Probably the first heroine to adopt girls without getting married, Sushmita didn’t let patriarchy get to her. Instead, she got the better out of patriarchy. Sush is a role model, not just for her daughters but for every girl in the world.

While we enter 2019 with hope, this year holds an extra special place for Sush as it marks 25 years since she was crowned Miss Universe. She shared an inspiring post on her social media handle on this occasion. The Bong beauty captioned it as, "In inspired moments, knowingly or unknowingly, the heart often sends out a desire, to have something, to be someone..and boom, the universe begins to conspire in all its abundance to make it possible!!! These I call ‘experiences’, not always pleasant but necessary to evolve & to be READY to receive the heart’s desire!!! I may dislike some experiences, but hate has no place in my life!!!"

Sushmita surely knows how to warm our hearts. We haven't seen the Main Hoon Na star sizzle the silver screen in a really long time. When Sush was previously quizzed on her next big Bollywood film, she said, " I have been looking at scripts again for the past one and a half year. I think I am ready to commit six months of my life to a film. But, just because I am ready, doesn't mean the perfect script is ready for me."
