Carson Kressley pays tribute to late beauty queen Cheslie Kryst after ‘Big Brother’

Carson Kressley rallied to honor his late friend and pageant queen Cheslie Kryst with an emotional Instagram post after being surprised by her death following his exit from “Celebrity Big Brother.”

“Just out the Big Brother house where I had no contact with the outside world for the last 24 days and I am at a loss for words upon hearing the news that my friend and colleague Cheslie Kryst has left this world,” he wrote alongside a photo of the two posing together in formal attire.

The OG “Queer Eye” star, 52, explained that he worked with the 2019 Miss USA winner over the years, most recently on the Miss Universe pageant in Israel in December.

“She was a bright light, a joy and a true beauty inside and out,” he added.

“I had no idea she was struggling with depression.”

Kryst died by suicide on Jan. 30 at the age of 30.

“Please check in on your loved ones and reach out to make sure they are ok,” he told his followers. “You never ever know what someone may be going through. My heart breaks for her lovely mother who joined us on our travels to Israel. Sending love to all of her family and friends. I hope you have found peace dear Cheslie.”

“Cheslie throughout her life sowed many seeds through her work, her philanthropy, her advocacy, and most importantly, her genuine care for others,” said Kryst’s mom, April Simpkins, according to the Charlotte Observer. “I know those seeds will continue to bear fruit for many years.”
