Catriona Gray has given her Miss Universe prelims candidate pin to the celebrity auction Shop & Share.
MANILA -- Catriona Gray has auctioned off one of the items she used during the Miss Universe 2018 pageant to help raise funds for coronavirus mass testing for underprivileged communities in the Philippines.
On Instagram Stories, the former Miss Universe said she has joined Shop & Share, the celebrity auction organized by Kapamilya stars Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, and Dimples Romana.
Among the items up for auction is Gray's candidate pin in Miss Universe, which she used during the preliminary competition.
"My MU candidate pin that I wore in the prelims of Miss Universe means so much to me, but I've decided to dedicate to a cause," she said.
"It's currently up for auction. All proceeds going towards aiding the government's efforts to provide mass testing," she added.

The starting price for Gray's pin at the Shop & Share auction is P20,000, with the latest bid as of writing at P150,000.
Bidding will be closed at 9 a.m. on June 11.
The description for the item wrote: "In December 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand, Miss Universe Philippines Catriona Gray debuted the 'slow-mo turn' and Ibong Adarna gown. The Philippines sash was secured over her heart with this pin."
"A personal, hand-written note on the Official Miss Universe 2018 Comp-Card will also accompany the pin."
Before Gray, other celebrities who have joined Shop & Share include her fellow former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, actress Liza Soberano, actor Joshua Garcia, singer Ogie Alcasid, and comedian Vice Ganda.
