MANILA – Months after passing on her Miss Universe crown, Catriona Gray had the chance to reunite with Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) founder Stella Araneta.
Gray was able to compete in Miss Universe after winning in the BPCI-organized national pageant Bb. Pilipinas in 2018.
Her handler, Cornerstone Entertainment, shared photos of their reunion on Instagram on Wednesday.
“An afternoon of reminiscing and building plans for 2020. Indeed, ‘Forever a Binibini,’” the talent agency said.
After seeing the post, pageant fans began speculating about what transpired at the meeting between Gray and Araneta.
Some guessed that Gray will be a host in the upcoming Bb. Pilipinas 2020 pageant, while others went as far as believing that the beauty queen will soon help lead BPCI.
For the first time in over 50 years, Bb. Pilipinas will no longer give out the Miss Universe Philippines crown – the same title won by Gray back in 2018.
This as the Miss Universe franchise in the Philippines now belongs to a different group headed by former beauty queen Shamcey Supsup, which has similarly started its search for 2020 hopefuls.
