The group announces the start of its search for the first Miss Universe Philippines under their watch

MANILA, Philippines – Miss Universe Philippines announced on Monday, December 16 on its Facebook page that the search for the 2020 candidates is now open. (LOOK BACK: The Binibining Pilipinas legacy through the decades
Aspirants need to download the application form from the Miss Universe Philippines Facebook page, fill it up, and send a scanned copy to the email contact@missuniverseph.com. The deadline for submissions is on January 18, 2020.
Screenings will happen between January 20-24, 2020 with a final screening on January 25, 2020.
The search is the first for the group since it was announced that Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc, which has held the Miss Universe franchise since 1964, will no longer conduct the search. The Miss Universe Philippines group announced on December 9 that they will be conducting the search starting 2020 with former Miss Universe Philippines Shamcey Supsup as its national director and long-time pageant mentor Jonas Gaffud as creative director.
Officials also include Albert Andrada as the Design Council Head, Lia Ramos as Head of Women Empowerment Committee and Charity, lawyer Nad Bronce as Head of Legal Affairs, and Mario Garcia as Business Development and Marketing Head.
