Steve Harvey has long been an inspiration to viewers of his show and fans in general. His rags to riches story (he once lived in his car) was part of the appeal, but his sense of humor didn't hurt, either.

And despite some setbacks, Steve's never been canceled from Hollywood. He has, however, seriously messed up on live TV.

As CNN recapped, it was 2015 and Steve Harvey was hosting the Miss Universe competition. When it came time to announce the winner, Steve read from a card and stated that Miss Colombia had won.

But moments later, a stunned Miss Colombia had the crown removed from her head and placed on the real winner's: Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, the model from the Phillippines.

In an awkward turn of events, Steve had somehow misread the card (or perhaps not looked down as he was speaking) and said the wrong country and name.

Steve Harvey even made the same mistake a second time, though that oops didn't garner quite as much attention as his first. At least in 2019, he hadn't actually crowned a winner before being corrected. And in fact, the teleprompter had given him the wrong country but the correct name.

While Steve was in the spotlight for a good while following the Miss Universe snafu, fans want to know what happened to Miss Colombia.

Ariadna Gutierrez was actually the runner-up to the 2015 Miss Universe pageant. But as Bustle confirmed, while Ariadna said she was humiliated by the mishap, she has gone on to other ventures.

After her Miss Universe dreams were squashed, Ariadna visited Disneyland with her family, acted in an action film alongside Vin Diesel, won third place on 'Celebrity Big Brother,' and became an Instagram influencer and model.

Her Instagram is full of Calvin Klein undie shots, snaps of her lounging beachside, and even posing in bikinis next to Lamborghinis. She's even been in the music videos of a handful of big stars: "Al Filo de Tu Amor" by Carlos Vives and "Ella Entendio" by Yandel, Farruko, and Arcangel.

Clearly, Steve Harvey's mess up didn't completely ruin Ariadna's chances of finding fame. In fact, it may have earned her more time in the spotlight than it would have had she actually won.

After all, acting in a Xander Cage film with Vin Diesel is no small feat! But that was in 2017; since then, Ariadna has also been on 'The World's Best' and acted as a judge on 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.'

She hasn't given up on her dreams, even if being un-crowned as Miss Universe a few years back put a damper on her plans.
