“I took the card, but I was afraid I would kill Papa if I found out. Well I talked to my mother about it and my mother said ‘very good go go apply’. When I went the next day and filled out the form, I was told, ‘Hey, you are so brave, 25 girls have taken out their names, because this year Aishwarya Rai has given her name, I immediately took back my name. After that my mother didn’t talk to me for two and a half days, she told me a lot. “If you think this is your competition, go and beat them,” he said.
