Manushi Chhillar made the entire nation proud by winning the coveted Miss World 2017 beauty pageant in Sanya, China on November 18 last year.

She became the sixth Indian woman to be crowned Miss World after Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999) and Priyanka Chopra (2000).

Since the event, Manushi has been winning our hearts. On her 21st birthday, let's take a look at all the times this beauty made us feel warm inside.

1. Her crown-winning answer

Manushi was asked which profession, according to her, deserved the highest salary. Manushi's answer won her the Miss World crown and billions of hearts worldwide.

Manushi said, "I think a mother deserves the highest respect and when you talk about salary, it's not always about cash, but I feel it's the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life. All mothers sacrifice so much for their kids. So, I think it is the job of a mother that deserves the highest salary."

2. When Manushi spread the message of "Freedom From Shame"

A cause close to her heart, creating awareness on menstrual hygiene, was a social project presented by Manushi at the Miss World contest. It also won her the Beauty with a Purpose title.

Manushi feels that projects like free supply of sanitary napkins to girls in state schools are short-term arrangements. Her vision is to be able to develop a "sustainable system" of manufacturing, selling and buying.

2. When she offered to pay the tuition fees of a boy who sold flowers

Manushi posted a picture of herself with a boy on social media and captioned it, ''Made a new friend today, Mahesh!''

She talked to him at length, and got to know that the boy loved mathematics and English and wanted to play football. He even refused ice cream because he was of the opinion that one needed a flat belly to play football.

Mahesh refused the money - his tuition fees - offered to him by Manushi, because his mother had taught him never to accept anything for free.

4. When Manushi Chhillar walked the ramp alongside a person with Down Syndrome

Manushi attended the Gala Charity Dinner thrown by APAE at Brasilia, in Brazil, as part of her Beauty with a Purpose tour. APAE works towards the welfare of children suffering from Down Syndrome.

For the uninitiated, Down Syndrome is a genetic disorder that causes physical and mental abnormalities.

Apart from the presentation, Manushi even walked the ramp with one of the students suffering from Down Syndrome.

We wish Manushi a very happy birthday.
