A beauty-pageant contestant didn't hesitate to admit she didn't know the answer to a question

Not just a beauty pageant, whether one is writing an examination or engaging in an intellectual conversation, you will often find those who try to prove their argument even if that betrays lack of knowledge.

When Sandra Lemonon, a woman contesting for the Binipining Pilipinas (Miss Philippines) title, was asked a question at the beauty pageant, she knew she would not be able to answer it.

The Q & A round in any beauty pageant is considered a deciding factor behind choosing the winner. So, more often than not, we find contestants going out of their way to attempt any question that is thrown at them, even if they have no idea about the subject.

Lemonon too was aware of the significance of the same and had prepared well for it.

At the event, a judge asked her, "What are your insights on the government's 'Build, Build, Build' program?"

Instead of rambling a rehearsed reply, she admitted to not knowing the answer.

''The insights of the government's 'Build, Build, Build' program. Actually, you know what, I studied so much for this Q&A, but sadly that's something that I don't know really much about. But, at least I'm here trying to answer a good question. Thank you!'' said Lemonon.

The contestant's answer may not have won her the pageant, but it did make people respect her for being honest.

''Oh, I love her honesty. That's better than lying," Miss Universe 2015 and host Pia Wurtzbach said.

Social-media users were also all praises for the contestant.

Sandra Lemonon may not go home with a crown tonight but she stood her ground mightier than any other candidate.

Why?

Because rather than spacing out with no answer at all, she was quick enough to acknowledge not knowing anything about it. #BbPilipinas2018
