Detroit Lions rookie Aidan Hutchinson isn’t the only member of his family having a life-changing year.
Aria Hutchinson, the sister of this year’s second overall pick in the NFL Draft, was named Miss Michigan USA 2022 on Saturday. The 23-year-old will now compete in the Miss USA 2022 pageant later this year.
“Years in the making. Years of discovery, evolution, and dreaming of this moment. Can’t begin to convey my gratitude for everyone who’s supported me on this journey,” Aria wrote Monday on Instagram.

“I can’t wait to use this title for good, helping and inspiring as many people as possible. What a gift this is!” she continued. “Today I can humbly say that I am Miss Michigan USA 2022!”
This spring has been filled with milestone moments for the Hutchinsons, with both Aria and Aidan, 21, celebrating their University of Michigan graduations together in April 2022.
“I graduated summer ‘21 and aidan graduated in winter ‘21– meaning that we were able to attend the same graduation and take our final u of m walk together yesterday. couldn’t imagine a better ending to my college career,” Aria gushed on Instagram at the time.

Shortly before the brother-sister duo rocked caps and gowns, they were in Las Vegas, where Aidan was drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. In a post shared by matriarch Melissa Hutchinson in early May, she revealed that the Lions wasted no time by grabbing the defensive end with the No. 2 pick.
“They weren’t lying when they said Detroit wasted no time,” Melissa captioned the video at the time. “PS do u know how HARD it was to stay silent?!! I felt like I was in A Quiet Place!”
