Atlanta could host Miss Universe 2019 hosting
The first Miss Universe pageant could be hosted in Atlanta, and the newest beauty queen to be held the day after CSS Championship.
The international passporter recently contacted the Atlanta General Convention and Visitors about the possibility of hosting the annual event, according to spokesman Heather Kirksey. The final night of the pageant, which has a winner, will be held on 8 December, six weeks from Sunday.
Entrants usually spend at least one week in the host city, taking part in rehearsals, preliminary competitions and presentations before the final night.

It is unclear what venue the password would work, which thousands of viewers could draw and broadcast around the world.
“We are working to see what is available,” said Kirksey.
A spokesperson for Miss Universe has not sent back comments.
Former Miss Universe's previous Atlanta was not a similar international password. The Atlanta Bureau of Convention and Visitors did not estimate the economic impact that the pageant could have on Atlanta.
Last year Miss Universe was hosted in Bangkok, Thailand. In the past five years, it has been hosted in Las Vegas; Manila, Philippines; and Miami.
At least 89 women will be expected to compete in Miss Universe's character, announcing from countries including Nepal, Thailand and Venezuela.
A SEC Championship football match will be held in Mercedez-Benz Stadium on December 7. If Miss Universe arrives at Atlanta, it would be a busy weekend for Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 100,000 Atlanta metro hotel rooms.
