Binibining Pilipinas 2021 opens 'wildcard' fan voting through mobile app

The candidate with the highest votes from the mobile app will secure a 'wildcard' spot in the semifinals

Pageant fans and supporters can now help get their Binibining Pilipinas 2021 bets advance to the semifinals through online voting.

In a press statement released on Sunday, July 4, Binibining Pilipinas announced the launch of a mobile application where fans can vote for their favorite candidates.

According to them, “the candidate with the highest number of votes will automatically secure a wildcard spot in the semifinals” during the coronation night on Sunday, July 11.

Registered app users can place one vote a day. Voting will run until midnight of Saturday, July 10. Registration and voting are free.

Aside from the voting feature, the Binibining Pilipinas app will also provide fans with more information about each candidate, as well as pageant news and updates. An online merchandise store is also linked to the application.

Voting for the top 10 qualifiers for Best in National Costume segment is also ongoing. Supporters can vote at the Binibining Pilipinas website from June 27 to July 10.

The Binibining Pilipinas 2021 grand coronation night will have Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves as hosts. It will be aired on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, iWantTFC, Metro Channel, and YouTube.

This year, four titles are up for grabs: Binibining Pilipinas International, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental, and Binibining Pilipinas Globe. – Rappler.com
