Could you be the next Miss Ireland? The 2022 search begins

Do you have what it takes to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Rosanna Davison, Andrea Roche and more? Well look no further, as Miss Ireland have kicked off their search for 2022.

The competition, which celebrates its Diamond Jubilee this year, is one of the World’s longest running beauty pageants, having been established in 1947.

The competition made history in 2021, with winner Pamela Uba becoming the first ever black woman to be crowned Miss Ireland.

Pamela, who has made waves worldwide since gaining the title, will travel to Puerto Rico in March as she represents Ireland in the prestigious Miss World competition.

Those who seek to take a leaf out of Pamela’s book are being encouraged to enter from every county, with the winner from each battling it out for the coveted crown.

Miss Ireland are urging applicants to think beyond beauty and embrace talents such as fashion, sports, talent and social media skills.

To date, Miss Ireland has raised over €300,000 for a variety of charities including Alzheimer’s Ireland and Pieta House but to name a few.

Variety Ireland will be the charity of choice this year, with the competition eager to help children facing disadvantage and special needs.

Miss Ireland is known for her philanthropy, with raising funds and awareness being a key ethos for the organisation.

Not only will the chosen applicants have a chance to represent their county, but they will also be in the running for a lucrative agency deal along with a multitude of fashionable goodies.

Along with prizes, the successful applicant will also be in the running to compete in the infamous Miss World pageant.
