Demi-Leigh is on her way home for Miss SA pageant

Cape Town - Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is on her way to South Africa for the Miss South Africa pageant taking place on Sunday.

"I am beyond excited to let you guys know that I will be in South Africa this coming weekend for the 60th year anniversary of Miss South Africa. I can't wait to be there to witness a new girl's dream become a reality," she says in a video on Twitter.

Adding, in Afrikaans: "I also can't wait to spend some time at home, and to eat lots of biltong!"

The beauty queen, who covers the June issue of Cosmopolitan South Africa, attended the Miss USA pageant on Monday, where her new roommate, Sarah Rose Summers was crowned the winner.

The official judging panel for this year's Miss South Africa pageant was announced on Monday. And with dramatic changes made to the pageant format, the whole country is on the edge of their seats, to witness the a Miss South Africa being crowned.
