Destinee Arnold wins Miss Universe Belize 2019

By BBN Staff: Destinee Arnold won the title of Miss Universe Belize 2019.

Arnold was crowned as the new Miss Universe Belize last night at the Belize City Civic Center.

She was crowned by former Miss Universe Belize 2018, Jenelli Fraser.

In the question and answer segment, Arnold was asked: What were some of the obstacles you faced while growing up and how did you overcome them?

Arnold answered with a powerful response:

“Growing up I didn’t know how to value myself, I thought that my value stemmed by someone who would tell me that I am valuable. But, I realized that depending on someone to tell me I have worth is misplaced value. The moment that I knew that I was worthy despite what anyone says, I activated the power that was within me. And now there is no obstacle that I cannot face and I stand here today as an example of what can happen when you value yourself.”

Arnold will represent the jewel at the 68th Edition of the Miss Universe Pageant in Seoul, South Korea in December 2019.

Arnold is the founder of “The Village” organization that aims to gather resources from Belize and the diaspora in order to assist organizations such as Hope for Life.
