Llegado, 21, said that language would be the main focus of her preparations for the international competition which will be staged at the Expocruz Salon Sirionó in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

“Language talaga ang isa sa major preparation ko kahit conversational Spanish lang. And then I also read about their culture,” said Llegado during an interview at Cabalen Plus Restaurant, Robinsons Galleria in Pasig City recently.

Llegado was honored at the popular eat-all-you-can resto when she won Miss Cabalen special award during the Miss World Philippines 2019 beauty pageant in September. The festive event coincided with the birth anniversary celebration of its owner Maritel O. Nievera, who also served as one of the judges in the finals.

The beauty queen from Taguig City also said that she has prepared a dance number for the pageant’s talent competition.

Llegado worked for a bank before she competed in Miss World Philippines 2019. She also joined Mutya ng Taguig 2018.

A cum laude graduate in Finance from the De La Salle University, Llegado also loves hiking and the beach.

Llegado will leave for Bolivia with her parents this month. She will be the third Filipino to compete in the 29-year-old beauty contest.

In 2017, Teresita Marquez became the first Filipino and first Asian to win Reina Hispanoamerica beauty pageant, a contest that celebrates Hispanic heritage, language and culture.

Reigning Reina Hispanoamericana Nariman Battikha of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the show. Twenty-six candidates are competing for the title.
