Dubai to host segment of Miss Europe pageant

DUBAI: Dubai continues to be a global hub for culture, fashion and the entertainment industry, and now the emirate focuses on the Miss Europe Continental pageant, one of the largest and most influential fashion and talent shows in Europe.

Dubai will on Saturday, Oct.11, host the segment of the Miss Europe Continental competition for the first time outside Europe.

A bevy of 30 beauties from the European continent are expected to battle it out for the three finalists’ position to secure a ticket to compete against 30 other applicants from across Europe in Spoleto, Italy.

The Dubai competition will have four segments, including an introduction, an evening gown competition, a talent section, and a question and answer segment.

Judges include high-end Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran, beauty entrepreneur Joelle Mardinian and last year’s beauty queen, 26 year old Russian contestant Anna Semenkova.

The glittering finale will be held on Nov.25.
