fbb Colors Femina Miss India Jammu and Kashmir 2018 Malika Kapoor is all set to represent her beautiful state with never ending passion in her heart and a big smile on her face. In an exclusive interview, the gorgeous lady talks to us about her journey from engineering to pageants, her struggle to achieve her dream and much more. Excerpts from the interview..
From being an engineer to competing in beauty pageants, tell us about your journey?
My friend introduced me to a beauty pageant by Jayanthi Ballal in Mysore where I won the title of "Best Film Face 2018". Soon after that Miss India happened and only I know how I have managed my office and Miss India together. I remember I searched for the top 50 qualities that a Miss India should possess and I was extremely excited to see that I had most of them. I began my journey that day. It was a hard journey but now that I think of it, it was worth it. After clocking 10 hrs at work, whatever time I could find I would devote that time in yoga, ramp walk, dance etc. There were days when I didn't sleep for night’s altogether and worked on both the things but it was all passion and happiness and I would love to continue with the same passion and enthusiasm.
How important do you think it is to be physically fit?
It is important to be physically fit but I believe that mental fitness is more important. Yoga and dance work wonders, it not only brings peace to the mind but also sets you in a great mood for the day. So I always find the time to dance to some energetic song before going to work.
What’s the one quality the winner this year must possess?
Gratitude
If not a beauty queen what would you rather be?
If not a beauty queen, I would love to be an actress and a social worker.
How did your family and friends react to your win?
I still can't believe it but they are even more excited than I am. I have never seen them so enthusiastic before. They are supporting me by all means possible. I think they've become very emotionally attached to the contest and it's a huge thing for them.
How excited are you to represent your state at fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018?
Jammu and Kashmir is an amalgamation of temples and scenic beauty, so am I. This combination will definitely create some magic at fbb Colors Femina Miss India pageant this year. I am extremely excited to be representing the winter capital and the summer capital together at such a prestigious platform.
Who has been your strongest source of inspiration?

Being an ardent traveller, which are the top 3 places on your travel list and why?
Gokarna, Coorg and Lavasa. These places make you feel as if you’re in the arms of nature and there’s no stress in life.
