Michelle Dee's application comes after widespread speculation among netizens that she would be competing in the 2022 pageant.
It looks like netizens were on to something when they clamored for Michelle Dee to compete in the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant as the I Left My Heart In Sorsogon actress has announced that she has handed her application in for the competition.
In a post on her Instagram account, Michelle shared that it was “now or never” and that her application video was now live on the KUMU app. She also called on her Instagram followers to check the video out. Included in the post are two photos of Michelle - one of her in a black one-piece and a beauty shot. She also used the hashtags #DEEpataposanglaban #forDEEuniverse
A number of celebrities already seem to be rooting for her, as evidenced in the Instagram comments. Just some of the famous people congratulating her include former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, former Miss International Kylie Verzosa, former Miss World Philippines Katarina Rodriguez, former Binibining Pilipinas Grand International Samantha Bernardo, and former Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados.
Other famous names include Kapuso Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista, Athena Madrid, David Licauco, Max Collins, Kyline Alcantara, and Sarah Lahbati.

Michlle finally applying for Miss Universe Philippines 2022 finally puts to rest the speculation among netizens, who had renewed clamor for her to compete in the pageant after she shared a video of her working out.
Users @ninojshmgs and @lensbluh, for instance, were already using the #ForDeeUniverse hashtag that Michelle used in her post.
Speculation by users @piacatrionaph, @effy2793, @musikakoh, @markanthonyestrella126 were all proven correct, as it turns out the workout was indeed “preparation for the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022.”
Instagram user @iskolarngbayan123 will now probably have to keep his promise of abandoning his favorite candidates after saying that Michelle deserves “the Universe.”
