Inverell-raised Jannah Mason has been crowned 'Milestone Miss Global International World' for 2019 after competing in the Philippines.
Representing Australia and South Pacific Waters, Jannah qualified for the international pageant stage in April, crowned 'Milestone Miss South Pacific'.
Still in shock to have the ultimate title, the crowning ceremony took place on September 22 in the capital city of the Philippines, Manila.
"I took home two sashes, two crowns and a trophy. Every contestant was given a subtitle sash and crown for their time in Manila. We were judged from the moment we arrived at the airport until the final section of our grand final."
In the grand final, each contestant was judged across four sections: national costume, fitness, evening gown and onstage interview. Representing Australia and the South Pacific Islands, Jannah dressed as the Waratah Flower.
During the onstage interview, the local woman was asked a simple but meaningful question 'What do you believe is the most important trait to possess?'
"My answer was respect. I believe without respect, and honesty, you will not get far in life," she explained.
Jannah was overwhelmed with emotion when crowned the titled, being given the opportunity to travel to Malaysia and India as a pageant judge next year.
Learning the ins and outs of judging will assist the local competitor in any future pageants she may enter.
As soon as the ceremony ended, she messaged her Mother to tell her she'd won the crown. Jannah will hold the international crown until September 2020.
In between her duties and travel plans, an ultimate goal of the local's is to establish her own inclusive pageant for people with disabilities.
"There is no opportunity in Australia for people in the modelling or pageant industries for people with disabilities. My pageant will include all kinds of disabilities, ages and genders.
"Because I am organising it all myself, I hope to have it set up before I hand over my international title next year."
Jannah thanked all her sponsors, friends and family for their support.
"None of this would have been possible without the support from both the Inverell and Tamworth communities. My sponsors have been with me since I won 'Miss Australia Continent' in 2018."
