Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman was given two special awards during the Miss Intercontinental 2018 pre-pageant affair. She was recognized as the H&H Standout Beauty and Media Favorite during the 47th Miss Intercontinental Media Presentation earlier today. H&H Makeover Salon is a pageant sponsor.
Karen introduced herself simply as the 26-year old contestant from the Philippines. Witness her moment at the 49:34 mark.
Karen shared her mindset approaching the contest proper in a post on Instagram last January 8, 2019: "I understand that no Filipina has won the Intercontinental crown before. There is a pressure on me to be the first Filipina. But for me, it doesn’t make sense to put pressure on myself. So, I just want to enjoy, but at the same time I prepared so hard for this competition. So, laban pa rin kahit relaxed ang mindset. Laban pa rin ng todo."
On December 28, 2018, she posted, “I didn’t ask to be Queen but hey...if the crown fits!”
We’re excited for our bet to shine again on January 16 during the Swimsuit Competition, the Evening Gown Competition on January 17 and the National Costume Competition on January 19. The coronation night of the 47th Miss Intercontinental is on January 26.
