Everything is coming up roses for reigning Miss World Philippines Laura Lehmann as she embarks on a new career after her stint in pageants.

PNP GOES GLOBAL — Reigning Miss World Laura Lehmann has been appointed as one of the ambassadors of the Philippine National Police project dubbed ‘The Project Pulis Global Police Community Relations Group’ during the 26th anniversary of the PCRG held at Camp Crame in Quezon City. After she passes her crown at the Miss World Philippines 2018 pageant in October, Laura says that she will concentrate on her showbiz career.

“I have two movies coming up. I’m very lucky to be given a chance under Regal Films that’s why I am with Mother Lily the other day,” says Laura during an interview following her appointment as one of the ambassadors for “The Project Pulis Global Police Community Relations Group” program which was launched at Camp Crame in Quezon City last Friday.

Laura, 24, says that she wants to prepare herself in show business by attending workshops before she gets into something.

“I wanna make sure that I am ready for whatever role. I don’t wanna go into it unprepared,” she says. “I want to take part in a girl power movie. I also would like to be with Megan Young and Carla Abellana.”

Laura reveals that she will start shooting her two movies this year. “My first movie is with Lovi Poe and second one with Enchong Dee and Janine Gutierrez.”

Asked about the leading men she wants to work with, Laura says: “Sam Milby. Every lady naman would choose him. I also like Piolo Pascual.”

On television, the former sportscaster says that she will be hosting a show “and people can look forward to it.”

Laura has been appointed as ambassadors for “The Project Pulis Global Police Community Relations Group” which was launched at Camp Crame in Quezon City. Aside from Laura, other new PNP ambassadors are Senator Manny Pacquiao and Miss World 2013 Megan Lynne Young.

The beauty queen says she is honored to be part of the government program which aims to address specific concerns of Filipinos abroad affecting their families in the Philippines in terms of security, public safety, and peace and order, thereby giving them peace of mind.

“When they asked me to become an ambassador for this project, I took no hesitation at all. I feel very honored. The PNP deserves to be supported. Why? Because unlike other government agencies, the policemen are here at their own will because of their love for their country and we should support that at all costs,” she says.

Rumor has it that Laura is said to be joining again the Bb. Pilipinas beauty pageant next year. In 2014, Laura finished 1st runner-up in the prestigious beauty contest.

“I will never close any doors of anything. I want to keep opportunities open. But for now, I am focusing on my showbiz career. I’ll be hosting Mr .World Philippines on Sept. 15 and I will co-hosting Miss World Philippines on Oct. 7,” the beauty queen says. (Robert R. Requintina)
