Manushi Chhillar pens emotional post with Miss World 2017 throwback photos

Manushi Chhillar took to her Instagram account recently to share throwback pictures of her Miss World 2017 pageant win.

As the world and contestants from over 120 countries gear up for the most awaited Miss World 2018 competition, last year's winner Manushi Chhillar is excited to relive her pageant days.

The beauty queen, who will soon visit China to crown this year's Miss World, took to her Instagram account recently to share throwback pictures of her 2017 win.

The diva posted two back to back throwback pictures, thanking her designers - Falguni and Shane Peacock, her mentors - Natasha Grover and Rohit Khandelwal, and her friends, reliving the exciting journey.

For the first post, Manushi thanked her co-competitors and the pageant for giving her a memorable journey. She wrote, "Because strong women support each other. This year 120 girls from all over the world will come together to experience the best adventure of their lives! Miss world has given me friends for more than a lifetime and to all you lovely ladies, thank you for making my journey a memorable one! And hence we begin #MissWorld 2018."

For the second post, in which she thanked her mentors, she wrote, "One of my favourite pictures from the night Who run the world I cannot thank you enough @naughtynatty_g for pushing me to my fullest potential. You have seen me right from the day I stepped on the ramp in Chandigarh for the Miss India auditions, to being crowned as the 67th Miss World.

She added, "@missindiaorg you guys are my family away from home. @rohit_khandelwal77 thank you for mentoring me when I needed a senior and being a friend when I felt the pressures of the competition. A big hug to @falgunipeacock and @shanepeacock for my dream gown (even when you had to make it in two days when you came to know that pink is my dream colour)."

Manushi's win in 2017 was historic in so many ways, as she had brought home the Miss World crown after 17 years.

This year's 68th edition of Miss World pageant is slated for December 8.
