(Stellar Marianas) — In a few days, a new legend is about to begin with eight beautiful young women vying for the 2021 Miss Marianas crown and Stellar Marianas, the islands’ pageant and talent group, is preparing for a show larger than life.

In a press conference Saturday before the personal interview competitions, Stellar Marianas re-introduced the eight 2021 Miss Marianas Contestants Vincent Rabasto, Lilly Carillo, Toremy Diaz, Naomi Lizama, Ha’Ane Eugenio, Bernadette Horey, Richelle Ramon and Savannah Delos Santos and unveiled details for the upcoming pageant on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the Hyatt Regency Saipan Ballroom with doors opening at 4 p.m.

“This has been a spectacular journey with the most amazing support we have ever seen, and we are proud to be able to help our islands shine in these most difficult times,” said Stellar Marianas president Michelle Sablan. “We have a hardworking and dedicated team and sponsors that have made this all possible.”

Title sponsors Marianas Visitors Authority, Triple J Motors, and the TSL Foundation lead the bevy of sponsors, including main sponsors IT&E, Marianas Variety, Turn Key, Pacifica Insurance, Pena House Boutique, Northern Marianas College, EdVance, Island Image and Motion, Gold’s Gym Saipan, TRESemme, Marianas Pacific Distributors, Coldwell Solar, BCM, Island Touch, Paopao, Latte Cafe, The Althlete’s Foot, Kiki’s Boutique, Salt & Barber, Scattr & So., Perfectly Posh, Lady Diann T. Foundation and the Hyatt Regency Saipan.

The 2021 Miss Marianas contestants have been busy the past several weeks attending many community events and activities, such as the Pika Festival in Tinian, 500 Trees Planting, Women’s Month proclamation signing, visits to the Center of Living Independently, Christmas Tree lighting, time management & dress etiquette training, dining etiquette training, NMI Museum Christmas tree decorating, speech etiquette, mental wellness training, mindset presentation, nutrition knowledge workshop and self-defense course, among many others.

“We are so proud of how well each of these lovely young women have progressed since we started, it really is about watching the best versions of yourselves really shine through,” said Runaway director Tiana Reyes.

The lovely young contestants agree, sharing what they have learned in this life-changing experience.

“The road to the crown completely turned my whole life around. It gave me a chance to cross paths with such talented, beautiful souls that inspired me and not only brought out who I was but also deepened my sense of purpose and understanding. It truly strengthened my grounds and provided my soul clarity. Now, more than ever, I am beyond prepared to rise with the Marianas,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Vincent Rabasto.

“This journey has been one of the most eye opening, confidence building, and self-reflecting journeys I’ve encountered thus far. The amazing team I have worked with and my amazing pageant sisters give me new purpose and respect. ‘I am beautiful, I am confident, and I am queen,’ is our new life mantra given to us by one of our directors, Tiana Reyes. I will never forget this journey, title or no title, a crown will always be theoretically on each of our heads as for we are all queens,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Lily Carrillo.

“Throughout this pageant journey, I’ve experienced many opportunities that benefited myself, such as etiquette training, meeting new people, and being open minded about our community,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Toremy Diaz.

“I think that the experience thus far has definitely been overwhelming in terms of getting out of my comfort zone, but also prioritizing and scheduling — overall a learning experience,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Naomi Lizama.

“In all honesty, I pushed myself to look past anxiety and fear of not being the ideal contestant because the essence of pageantry is allowing this journey to not only grow myself, but also to shine a light on my community through the privilege of representing my home and advocating for causes that also grow our islands. As it is all coming to an end, I am proud to say that I have developed a new sense of confidence and gained the most amazing memories with my beautiful pageant sisters,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Ha'Ane Eugenio.

“I’ve grown into an even better version of myself than I even imagined was possible and it’s all thanks to the amazing team that I’ve been able to work with and the most incredible group of girls that I’ve got to experience this journey with. I am so thankful for this experience and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Bernadette Horey.

“In the very beginning, I was super shy, a bit quiet, and always worried. With great support, advice, and tips and tricks from the Stellar team and my pageant sisters, I can say that I have grown and improved in ways that I thought I couldn’t. I feel so blessed and honored to share this journey with these incredible women. I look forward to pageant night!,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Richelle Ramon.

“Every aspect of this journey has been exciting and eye-opening! I do my best to stay present and in the moment with everything that we do, and I really do believe it has been extremely rewarding. I have met so many beautiful people in our community alongside the girls I am sharing the stage with and I have learned so much as well from everyone I’ve encountered. I feel like a changed person and woman because of this journey. We’ve each worked so hard, and I know we’ll make the community so proud,” said 2021 Miss Marianas contestant Savannah Delos Santos.

Voting is still ongoing for the Marianas Gem “People’s Choice” Award with IT&E by texting the Contestant’s first name to 8683, along with an online poll on Marianas Variety’s website, www.mvariety.com

The votes of the winner will include the total tally from both voting platforms.

Due to limited seating and Co-Vid restrictions, IT&E has joined forces with Island Image & Motion to live stream the pageant live starting at 4 p.m. on www.facebook.com/stellarmarianas

“We invite our community to watch and help cheer each of our contestants and be a part of this extraordinary experience that celebrates the beauty of our Marianas,” said Stellar Marianas president Michelle Sablan.
