Michele Gumabao bags 2 awards in Miss Globe 2018

Volleyball star Michele Theresa Gumabao bagged two special awards and landed in the Top 15 of the Miss Globe 2018 beauty pageant in Tirana, Albania Sunday night (Monday morning in Manila).

Gumabao, 25, was named Miss Dream Girl of the World and Miss Social Media.

She also finished in the Top 15.

“Congratulations to our very own Michele Teresa Gumabao on your Top 15 finish and for winning the Miss Social Media Award and The Miss Dream Girl of the World award! Mabuhay ang Binibining Pilipinas!,” the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc., said in a statement.

Gumabao is a former member of the De La Salle University Lady Spikers women’s volleyball team.

She is also the camp director of the Alaska Volleyball Powercamp.

China;s candidate was crowned Miss Globe 2018, while first to fourth runner-up honors went to candidates from Australia, Turkey, Italy and Albania, respectively.

After the Miss Globe pageant in Albania, Gumabao said she will focus on and resume her volleyball career.
