The new Miss America is Miss Alaska Emma Broyles.
First runner up Miss Alabama. Second runner up was Massachusetts.
Top 3
Oregon named fourth runner-up; third runner-up was New York. This leaves Alabama, Massachusetts and Alaska as the top three.
Top 5
Top 5 are Alabama, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon and Alaska. The field will next be narrowed to three.

Miss Alabama Lauren Bradford’s talent had a major mix-up when the sound to her electric violin was apparently not turned on. She performed her talent twice and the internet was not pleased with the technical mix-up.
Top 10
To make up the top 10, two contestants were chosen out of five groups of 10 contestants. The top 10 were: New York, Alaska, Illinois, Massachusetts, Oregon, Alabama, District of Columbia, Florida, Utah and Texas.
Talent is next.
Instead, the 100th annual event will be streamed live on Peacock. The event will air from Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Uncasville, Connecticut at 8 p.m. EST (7 p.m. CST) on Thursday, Dec. 16. It’s the first time in the pageant’s history it has been available only via a streaming service.

The event includes 51 women from across the U.S. This year’s event marks a return after a two-year delay due to COVID-19.
