Miss Divas rock the night in Mumbai

Host Shamita Singha flagged off the affair by inviting actress Lara Dutta (Miss Universe 2000), who has been mentoring the girls for the last five years. Speaking of her association with the pageant, Lara said, “Trust me, I have a hard job ahead of me but I can’t do it without you and none of these girls can do it without your support. It’s a great party night and I can’t wait to see who will represent India at The Miss Universe pageant!” This was followed by the dapper a few words of encouragement. He said, “All you ladies look wonderful and I wish you all the very best. This looks like a fun evening and it is set out to be something fantastic!”

The audience then got a glimpse of the 20 finalists who set the stage on fire with a ramp walk. The ceremony came to an end with the announcement of the sub-contest winners. This was followed by a rocking party where DJ Stetson belted out hit Bollywood numbers while everybody let their hair down.

Among those present at the event were actors Amit Sadh, Aahana Kumra, Sikander Kher, Mrunal Jain, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, music composer Sachin Sanghvi, singer Arjun Kanungo, fashion designers Narendra Kumar Ahmed, Rocky S, among others.
