Columbus, Georgia (WRBL) – After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Miss Georgia Pageant returns to Columbus. The pageant will be held from June 15th to 19th, 2021.

Today, the contestants attended the Miss Georgia Forum. There, Executive Director Trina Pluit talked about the guidelines and protocols for Pageant Weekend, which is an even more important task as the pandemic continues.

“Miss Georgia not only occurs at the River Center, but also at the Columbus State University dormitory, where it occurs at the steelworks,” says Pruitt. COVID-19 Protocol for pandemics. “

The pageant is three months away, but Miss Georgia’s prominent teen Mary Wilhelmina Hodges says the forum is the pageant’s kick-off.

“This is an orientation and very helpful for new candidates. They are learning guidelines and there are more safety steps, especially at this year’s COVID,” Hodges said. “For these next three months, they will be busy preparing for all the different stages of the competition.”

With 76 contestants from all over Georgia, a limited number of spectators can see the pageant directly.

Pruitt thanked Columbus leaders and the Ministry of Health for their cooperation in ensuring a safe Pageant Week.

Pageant tickets will go on sale at the box office in May.
