Recently, Miss Georgia, Victoria Hill, visited the youth and staff at Never Too Late, a non-profit residential home for youth and young men in foster care, located in Monticello. Miss Hill, a trained opera singer, performed some songs for both the youth and staff of Never Too Late, and spent time visiting individually with the residents and staff at the home.

In June 2019, Hill won the title of Miss Georgia, and in December 2019, she placed first runner-up in the Miss America 2020 pageant. She was also a double preliminary winner.

She has been thrilled to help Flip the Script on Foster Care across the state of Georgia focusing on three key areas: 1) Raising awareness of the great needs in the foster care system 2) Engaging businesses and organizations to see the role they can play in meeting these needs, understanding that one doesn’t need to foster in order to help children in the foster care system and 3) Encouraging mentorship for young people aging out of foster care.

Victoria Hill is an advocate for youth in foster care and opera singer. She is a 1st place winner in the Schmidt Vocal Competition, a 1st place winner in the Prestigious George Shirley Vocal competition, and the 2017 National NATS 1st place winner for Classical Music. Also, just recently she won 2nd place in the nation in musical theater.

She most recently performed as Susannah In Susannah the English opera by Carlisle Floyd, Fiona in Reinhardt’s Brigadoon, and Despina in Così fan tutte, along with numerous concerts with orchestra. She has been dancing for over 10 years with a focus in ballet, tap, and lyrical.

Her greatest joy, however, is found in her work with the foster care system and her involvement in the WINGS mentorship program she created, which stands for Women In Need Growing Stronger, in order to pair women in the community with girls in foster care in a mentoring relationship so that they have that special connection in their lives.
