ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Miss Louisiana USA Victoria Paul has announced that she will be competing in the Miss USA 2019 pageant.

The competition will be held in Reno, Nevada on May 2, 2019.
Victoria said she will be headed to Nevada next week to begin prepping before the final event. She also said, without the support of her community here at home, she doesn't think she would've made it this far.
"I would just like to thank everyone in my community once again, and for every single person that believed in me before I was able to believe in myself,” Victoria explained. “I just want to thank you guys one last time before I go and, if you see me running around the community, running in the grocery store, please just wave or give me a hug, I love hugs, and I’m just grateful for each and every one of you, and thank you so much for being a part of this journey with me."
The Miss USA pageant will air live on Fox at 7:00 p.m. on May 2nd.
