Miss Luxembourg travels to London for Miss World competition

Melanie Heynsbroek, crowned Miss Luxembourg 2019, has set off for London on Thursday to participate in the Miss World beauty pageant.

Throughout the year, Heynsbroek has been preparing for the world beauty pageant. She has travelled the world and visited a host of countries to meet with organisations working for causes close to her heart. Miss Luxembourg has shown herself as incredibly motivated and keen to represent Luxembourg as best as possible at the world event.

Heynsbroek, aged 20, was crowned Miss Luxembourg 2019 at the December 2018 ceremony, with Médina Avdic, 24, coming in second place. Heynsbroek is Luxembourgish and currently in the 3e year of the paramedic section at the Lycée Technique de Bonnevoie. She also does figure skating and in-line skating.

Heynsbroek aspires to become a paediatric nurse in the future and would use her prominent position to help children. She also enjoys travelling and is known for her kind nature.
