Miss Marianas set for Saturday

Preparations for the 2019 Miss Marianas pageant are complete for its kick-off on Saturday, June 15, at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan’s Hibiscus Hall, with the winner to bring home valuable prizes.

The pageant’s organizer, Stellar Marianas, presented the six candidates and the pageant’s sponsors yesterday at the Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan’s World Café

“We have been working hard in the past few months in getting every detail together and we are really excited for the show,” said Stellar Marianas president Laila Boyer.

The pageant contestants are Junalyn Billedo, Riane Capalad, Merly-Ann Fernandez, Sharon Palacios, Shannon Sasamoto, and Dierra Palacios.

“I am so excited and looking forward to Saturday, and I would like to thank my friends, family, and all the sponsors,” Capalad said.

Celine Cabrera, the 2018 Miss Marianas, is also excited to pass on her tiara to the next Miss Marianas. Becoming the 2018 Miss Marianas was a dream come true for Cabrera and she is happy about this new group of girls’ hard work and efforts for this pageant, as they get to experience what she experienced in her run last year.

“The sweet part about this is the fact that whoever wins this event deserves the title of Miss Marianas,” Cabrera said.

This year’s queen will get the opportunity to drive around with the 2019 Miss Marianas official car, a 2019 sporty red Hyundai Kona. The queen will also get a one-year subscription to Marianas Variety, exclusive beauty products from DFS Saipan, gifts from Tribe Marianas, an exclusive product gift from TRES’emme, a gift bag and a cash gift from 670 Rock Steady Shop, a professional model portfolio from MyCapitures Photography, a four-piece luggage set from Stellar Marianas, a wardrobe set and gifts from Pena House and Iridescent Boutique, and gifts from Pacifica Insurance.

This year’s sponsors are IT&E, TanHoldings Corp., Triple J Motors, Joeten Enterprises, Lady Diann Torres Foundation, Fiesta Resort & Spa Saipan, Cha Bistro, Hertz Rent-a-Car, Jules Guam, the CNMI Public School System, Burger, Magliari, & Magliari.

Stellar Marianas said there is strong support for the pageant in the community, with tickets sold out just days after their release.

Ticket holders are reminded that doors will be open at 4:30pm on Saturday. Parking is also available at the American Memorial Park. A shuttle provided by Fiesta Resort will be available from AMP to Fiesta from 4pm to 6pm.
