The gown, available in red, bamboo, jade and ivory, will be produced exclusively at the Sijwa Project in the heart of Kaza, the World’s Largest Wildlife Conservation Area in the Zambezi Region of northeastern Namibia.

The dress was designed by Chanique exclusively for Project Sijwa in April 2021. It is a linen dungaree style dress that is easy to wear. During one of her visits to the Junior Sewing School, Miss Supranational Namibia then taught senior seamstresses step by step how to make dresses and provided in-depth training in sewing. When finished, the women model the finished clothes with pride.

His aim is to transfer his expertise to make a real difference at the Mayuni Conservancy, which will provide young people with opportunities to be exposed to new aspirational goals. Chanique Sewing Middle School opened with the full blessing and support of the Honorable Principal Mayuni.

After becoming the first woman from Africa to win the Miss Supranational title in August 2021, Chanique vowed to continue dedicating her time to empowering Namibian youth with her ‘From Underground’ initiative. The Junior Sewing School at Project Sijwa remained one of her top priorities during her years as Miss Supranational.
