Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu has the perfect response to her bashers and body shamers.
In a press interview on Sunday, April 24, 2022, Harnaaz was asked to share a piece of advice to victims of body-shaming like her.
The 22-year-old reigning Miss Universe titleholder said cheekily, "I just want to tell them that look at me #Unbothered!"
Harnaaz reminded not to fall under the pressure of fitting in with society’s beauty expectations.
Stressing that beauty was so much more than just about looks and body weight, the Indian model/actress said, "I think it’s not about how you look.
"It’s about how you feel and how you represent you personality because it comes from within.
"It reflects on your skin, whatever you think, and how you’ve become.
"So treat yourself the way you want people to treat you. You are strong. You are unique. You are beautiful.
"And nobody can be like you and that’s the best thing that you have.
"And we all are women of all colors, all shapes, all sizes, and that is what Miss Universe means to us."

HARNAAZ'S CELIAC DISEASE
Over the past few weeks, Harnaaz has been body-shamed for her weight gain.
On Saturday, March 26, 2022, she walked on the runway for Indian designers Shivan and Narresh during the 2022 Lakme Fashion Week.
Harnaaz, who looked stunning in her red velvet gown made by the designer duo, was called "fat" by some bashers on social media
In an interview after the event, Harnaaz addressed her bashers and revealed she gained weight because of a medical condition.
In a story in India Today, quoting a report by PTI, she had revealed, "Nobody knows about my Celiac disease. That I can't eat wheat flour and many other things."
According to mayoclinic.org, Celiac disease is an "immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye."
Basically, Harnaaz is allergic to any food with wheat, barley, and rye that may trigger an immune response in her small intestines that in turn can damage and prevent these from absorbing nutrients.
Even with all the negative comments she received about her weight, Harnaaz said she has always been confident in her skin.
"I am one of the courageous and confident girls who believes even if I'm fat, even if I'm thin, it's my body, I love myself."
Harnaaz also said in India Today story, "I'm one of those individuals who was first bullied that 'she's too skinny' and now they bully me saying 'she's fat.'"
Harnaaz is currently in the Philippines for the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant.
She will be sitting as one of the judges during the pageant's grand coronation night happening on April 30, 2022, at the SM Mall fo Asia Arena in Pasay City.
