R’Bonney Gabriel, the winner of 2022 Miss Universe, wore a variety of dresses and Vietnam’s traditional ao dai created by Vietnamese designers during her business trip to HCMC
At an event to announce the new rights holder of Miss Universe Vietnam, the beauty queen chose to wear a red sequin ao dai by Bao Bao. She also wore a pearl necklace to amplify the luxurious vibe.
When Gabriel visited famous attractions in the city such as HCMC Post or Nguyen Hue walking street, she continued to embrace Vietnamese culture by wearing the traditional ao dai designed by ABC, alongside the second runner-up in the 2022 Miss Universe pageant, Andreina Martinez (right).
At an evening party on Friday, Gabriel donned a fishtail gown with feathers at the bottom designed by Do Long. The gown enhanced Gabriel’s curves. Miss Grand Vietnam Doan Thien An brought the gown to the 2022 Miss Grand International but didn’t get the chance to wear it on stage since she only made it to the top 20.
Gabriel wore a mysterious black dress from the upcoming collection by designer Chung Thanh Phong when talking to the press on Saturday.
At a side acitivity, the beauty queen chose a cut-out dress designed by herself, using eco-friendly silk. She is majored in fashion design and is currently running a sustainable fashion brand that gives jobs to survivors of domestic abuse at a nonprofit clothing manufacturer in Houston, Texas.
When Gabriel arrived in Vietnam, she went full denim with high heels. The 28-year-old beauty is an American-Filipino. She is the ninth American to win the Miss Universe title and she is also the oldest winner of the competition.
