Miss Universe is still Tim Tebow’s type

Tim Tebow is certainly fond of Miss Universes.

Following his ill-fated romance with former pageant queen Olivia Culpo in 2015, the Mets prospect has seemingly rebounded with Miss Universe 2017, South Africa native Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.

After they crossed paths at a Super Bowl party, Nel-Peters, 23, reportedly split from her longtime boyfriend in the spring, before she and Tebow, 30, became an item, according to Terez Owens. The Heisman Trophy winner is also said to have gifted the beauty queen an expensive David Yurman necklace for her birthday last month.

Though the pair have yet to go public on social media — though they follow each other on Instagram — it appears Tebow’s siblings have taken the reins. Both Katie and Robby Tebow shared snaps of the new couple on Instagram, all posing together in group shots.

It remains to be seen if Nel-Peters has received mom Pamela Tebow’s stamp of approval, but the matriarch is ready to see her son take on the Big Apple.

“We’re partial, so we would vote for him to go up to the majors,” Pamela recently told TMZ. “But it’s not up to us.”

Tebow going to the majors isn’t entirely fantasy as he continues to improve at Double-A Binghamton.

“The thing with him all along was going to be Father Time, and whether he has a long enough window in order to make this happen, but he’s trending in the right direction,” Mets assistant GM John Ricco said last week of Tebow, who was recently named to the Double-A All-Star team.

“I think it’s a great story … and we’ll see where it goes.”
