Miss Vietnam 2018 pageant to start

PANO – The Miss Vietnam 2018 pageant kick-started on March 14 at a press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City by the Tien Phong (Vanguard) Newspaper and Sen Vang (Golden Lotus) Company.

The country-wide beauty contest, the sixteenth of its kind and an important landmark of 30 years of Miss Vietnam pageant since 1988, will take place in different regions of Vietnam.

The qualifying round in the South will be hosted by Quy Nhon city of Binh Dinh province while the round in the North will take place in Cua Lo town, Nghe An province.

The final round, includes two stages with the first one taking place in Da Nang city from August 23 to September 16 and the second one from September 17 to 22 in Ho Chi Minh City. The final evening scheduled for September 22 will be broadcast live on Channel 1 of the Vietnam Television (VTV1).

During the contest, various attractive competitions to determine who will be Miss Beach, Miss Talent, Miss Sports, Miss Humanity, Miss Media and more will be organized.

Contestants will also take part in various meaningful community-oriented activities to popularize the image of Vietnamese women as friendly, kind-hearted and devoted, who have made great contributions to their families, society and the country.

Once crowned, Miss Vietnam 2018 will be awarded VND 500 million and will represent Vietnam in further international beauty contests abroad.
