MJ Lastimosa, Shamcey Supsup get mistaken as Miss Universe candidates while hiking in Israel

MJ Lastimosa isn't the only one who got mistaken as a candidate for this year’s Miss Universe pageant!

On Instagram, Shamcey Supsup shared photos of her and MJ hiking at the Red Canyon in Israel.

While hiking at the tourist spot was fun despite being an "extra challenge," the Miss Universe Philippines national director said the iconic moment was something else.

"The highlight of the hike was when a group of hikers thought we're competing for the pageant in Eilat, thus the photos," Shamcey wrote in the caption with a laughing emoji.

MJ and Shamcey, who have been friends for 11 years now, flew to Israel earlier this month to support Philippine bet Beatrice Luigi Gomez at the 70th Miss Universe pageant.

Shortly after the coronation, MJ shared that she was also hilariously mistaken as a pageant candidate.

Although they aren't candidates for this year, who can blame those in Israel?They are still very much beauty queens with their gorgeous outfits and smiles as they visited the country.

Shamcey represented the Philippines in the 2011 Miss Universe pageant, while MJ did so in 2014.
