Nagma to represent Nepal at Miss Universe 2017

Nagma Shrestha will be representing Nepal at the 66th Miss Universe to be held in Las Vegas, USA. This is the first time Nepal will be participating in Miss Universe slated for November 26.

Shrestha was crowned as the first Miss Nepal Universe at a gala function held to mark the 22nd anniversary of the Hidden Treasure and 23rd anniversary of Miss Nepal at Hotel Annapurna on Friday evening. Chairperson of the Hidden Treasure Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshapati coroneted Shrestha with the glittering Miss Nepal Universe crown.

According to the Hidden Treasure, the franchise of Miss Universe, based on New York, was received after the completion of the beauty pageant Miss Nepal 2017 in April.
For having an extensive pageant experience, The Hidden Treasure decided to select Nagma Shrestha, who is also the Miss Nepal (Earth) 2012, for the Miss Universe.
Shrestha is a well-known celebrity and a media personality of Nepal. She represented Nepal in Miss Earth 2012, and became the first Nepali to reach the finale in an international pageant.

She finished third runner up in World Miss University 2016 held in China and won the best tourism video in Miss Eco Universe 2016 held in Egypt.
