NAMASTE, UNIVERSE!

Has it only been one month?! It feels so surreal when someone refers to me as ‘Miss Universe’ that I have to pinch myself to see if I am dreaming.

Words will always fall short for me when explaining the feeling of living my dream of winning this title and coming to New York City for the first time. I get butterflies in my stomach every time I see the city skyscrapers from my apartment window, or take a walk in Central Park or Times Square.

This month has been full of media interviews, which I am so honored to get the opportunity to do, and I have met some amazing journalists I hope to continue relationships with throughout my time as Miss Universe. I hope that the values I have learned from my mother and home country have come through in those interviews, and that it is clear that I am ready to take on the role and responsibilities of being Miss Universe, and bring awareness to the causes I’m most passionate about.

I wish you all a great year and continued good health, stay positive and keep strength within yourselves. I look forward to sharing my journey with you all.
