American Armenian Peggy Garabekian will represent Armenia at the Miss United Nations 2023 beauty pageant. She announced this on her Facebook page.
"I’m baaack! It’s official, I will be representing my country as Miss Armenia for the United Nations 2023 pageants! After careful selection and interviews, I’m so beyond honored to be one of the finalists for this upcoming pageant competition. So grateful for this new journey, but even more grateful to Christ for providing it. We all knew I missed the stage," Peggy wrote on Facebook.
In 2015, Garabekian participated in the Miss Asia USA competition held in the US, where she again represented Armenia. She placed third and was awarded the title of Miss Congeniality.
In an interview with NEWS.am STYLE, Peggy had spoken about her participation in this competition, noted that its founder Virgelia Villegas had noticed her in 2012 when she had ordered food at food outlet and was waiting for her turn. It was then that Villegas had approached Peggy and asked her participate in the aforesaid beauty pageant.
And as for Miss United Nations 2023, this beauty pageant will be held in India, from September 25 to 30.
