‘People’s Choice’ Award voting begins

(Stellar Marianas) — For the first time in Northern Marianas pageant history, a new ‘People’s Choice’ Award will be given to the chosen contestant during the 2019 Miss Marianas Pageant called the Marianas Gem Award.

Voting online at www.mvariety.com will begin tomorrow to the 2019 Miss Marianas Pageant on June 15th and only one vote per device is allowed.

Inspired by her reign and community service, 2016 Miss Marianas Teen Palanga Blas Taimanao with her mom, Cecile, and her family, decided to sponsor an award for this year’s pageant that reflects of who people think which of the six lovely 2019 Miss Marianas Pageant Contestants represents the Marianas through her spirit of hospitality and beauty, her love and respect for our islands, and her promotion of our diverse cultures and uniqueness in the CNMI and to the world.

The 2019 Miss Marianas Pageant “People’s Choice” Marianas Gem Award will feature a special hand carved trophy and a $500 Cash Award.

2019 Miss Marianas Contestants Junalyn Billedo, Riane Capalad, Merly-Ann Fernandez, Sharon Palacios, Shannon Sasamoto and Dierra Palacios have been active community volunteers over the past few months, attending events, trainings and promotional opportunities.

Everyone is encouraged to vote and help select the first “People’s Choice” Award. Results will only be made known during pageant night.
