Rabiya Mateo is blooming in her first appearance after the Miss Universe 2020 pageant as the beauty queen wears an Oliver Tolentino creation.

In her Instagram stories, the Filipina beauty queen is seen stopping by the Filipino designer’s boutique in Beverly Hills before meeting the Filipino community in Los Angeles.

“Earlier today, I had an amazing time with the Filipino community here in Los Angeles. This is my first official appearance after the competition. It felt like my mini victory party,” Rabiya posted on Instagram. “Things were even better because I was able to wear Oliver Tolentino and Luna by Drake Dustin.”

Oliver’s lilac cocktail dress with an A-line skirt is made of Thai silk with hand-sewn strips to create that geometric pattern. Contrasting the volume of the skirt is the corseted bodice made more youthful with a sweetheart neckline.

The dress first made its debut in Thailand in 2019. Oliver together with a number of fashion designers all over the world presented their collection featuring the Thai silk in the annual Thai Silk International Fashion Week.

Rabiya is not the first Miss Universe contestant to wear a piece from the designer. In 2015, Pia Wurtzbach wowed the judges with a red Oliver Tolentino evening gown during the preliminary competition.
