Rachel Peters excited for successor Catriona Gray

MANILA – Rachel Peters has passed on her Miss Universe Philippines crown to Catriona Gray.

And Peters is excited to see what lies ahead for her.

“To my successor, Catriona Gray, you totally slayed last night,” she said in an Instagram post on Monday. “I know how hard you worked for this, and it showed in your fantastic performance.”

“Looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for you. Enjoy every moment, queen,” she added.

To the rest of the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 winners, Peters said: “Congratulations! I am so excited to watch your individual journeys and we will be here cheering till the very end!”

Peters made it to the Top 10 of Miss Universe 2017, continuing the Philippines’ strong performance in the prestigious beauty pageant.

Prior to Bb. Pilipinas 2018, Gray competed in Miss World Philippines 2016 and won. She went on to represent the country in Miss World, finishing in the Top 5.
