SHREVEPORT COULD HOST THE NEXT MISS USA PAGEANT

In the next few days, representatives from the State Fair of Louisiana and Hirsch Memorial Coliseum will most likely announce that Shreveport will host the 2018 Miss USA and the Miss Teen USA pageants! The pending announcement is awaiting final confirmation after officials with the Miss Universe Organization were courted by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourism Bureau. The representatives seemed to be impressed with the tour of the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum, which would host two of the most famous beauty pageants in the world.

According to the Shreveport Times, pageant officials were also impressed with what Shreveport / Bossier City has to offer - and plan to make a decision at the end of this week or next week. However, industrial design firm KISH Rigging is planning a visit to our fair city. This is a big deal because the California firm has worked with this pageant in years past, so this is a big indicator of the organization's intentions.
