Sonia Fergina crowned Puteri Indonesia 2018

It was a proud moment for Sonia Fergina when she was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2018 at the gala night of Puteri Indonesia. Sonia succeeded her predecessor Puteri Indonesia 2017 Bunga Jelitha Ibrani.

Bangka Belitung Sonia Fergina will further represent Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, to be held later this year, where Miss Universe 2017 Demi Leigh will crown her successor. The event witnessed immense support from the audience as they hooted and cheered for their favourite contestants.

The gorgeous beauty queen is involved in various social activities associated with the organization “Diberi Untuk Memberi.” She also works towards conserving the environment and helps provide free food to janitors. She wishes to use her title to contribute more to her resource-rich hometown.

The jury included 9 prominent figures such as Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Menpora Imam Nahrawi who is the Head of Bekraf Triawan Munaf, and House Speaker Bambang Soesatyo. Eminent personalities from the pageant world Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori and Puteri Indonesia 2016 Kezia Warouw also sat in the ranks of the jury to adjudge the competition.

The grand finale was also graced by Kevin Liliana as Miss Grand International 2017, Jenny Kim as the Miss Supranational 2017 and Miss Universe 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel Peters.
