Teenager wins pageant to be crowned ‘most beautiful woman’ – do YOU agree?

A GORGEOUS teenager has been named the most beautiful woman in Russia during a beauty pageant.

Julia Polyachihina was crowned Miss Russia after winning the finals of the contest at the Barvikha holiday village – just outside the capital city of Moscow.

After securing her title, the 18-year-old now has the opportunity to represent her country in the international contest “Miss World” and “Miss Universe”.

Despite her victory, the brunette has remained humble as she revealed she had no idea she would win.

She said: “I am still very nervous and I cannot believe that I got the title of Miss Russia.

“I was a little bit upset when I heard the second and third places, but I was really happy when I heard my name at the end.”

Julia believes her dedication to the tournament helped her land the prestigious beauty crown.

“I would give 100% to myself at every rehearsal,” she boasted.

“I believe that I was going to achieve my goal.”

The teen beauty is a journalism student at the Chuvash State University in central Russia.

She added: “I understand that I have to move on, reach new heights, I need to start to get ready for the next competition.”

Julia also won a cash prize of three million RUB (£33,780) and a new car.

In her free time, she loves to do fitness aerobics and also plans to study beauty in the near future.

However, her victory did spark mixed comments online.

One fan praised: “She is very beautiful.”

But another argued: “There are prettier girls walking the streets. This miss is pretty ugly.”

A third slammed: “She has no charm. There is no place for her at international contests. Nothing personal though.”

Earlier this month, models competed to be named “best looking women in the world”.

And in March, Alexandra Tsyrenova was crowned the winner of “Krasa Rossii”, a pageant dubbed the Russian beauty Olympics.
