The first regional ceremony of the Miss France Committee was held Friday evening in Papeete, where ten candidates competed to try to succeed Matahari Bousquet as Miss Tahiti 2019.

On Friday evening at Papeete Town Hall, dozens of young women attended the 60th anniversary of the regional elections hosted by Hinarere Taputu, Miss Tahiti 2014 and first runner-up to Miss France 2015, and Jean-Pierre Foucault. 24-year-old Tomatiata Poisson (1.81m) won the Miss Tahiti 2021 sash against runners-up Monoehiri Debebeuf and Elaine Thwau.

The next July 17 ceremony in Cayenne should take place at the Miss Guyana Ball 2021 which was followed on July 24 in Porticcio from the Miss Corsica Ball 2021. July 30 in Cogolin and July 31 in Bouker will see Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon appoint their representatives.
