Jamaica-born Toni-Ann Singh won the coveted title of Miss World 2019 following a glittery ceremony in London last month. The 23-year-old defeated over one hundred beauties from around the world to bag the annual crown. Born to Indo-Carribean father Bradshaw Singh and African-Carribean mother Jahrine Bailey, Toni's family moved and settled to the United States when she was nine. She is a student of women studies and psychology at Florida State University and aspires to be a medical doctor.

The young diva is a powerhouse of talent. Besides owning the ramp, Toni also surprised the audience when she sang the American singer Whitney Houston's hit number I Have Nothing.

The reigning Miss World's win came after a 20-year long gap. She is also the fourth beauty from Jamaica to bag the coveted pageant.
